Another Sunday meal prep in the books! Greek chicken breast, garden turkey burgers, tomato cucumber salad, and quinoa. Successful week in the making!
To answer a couple questions I get asked a lot about meal prepping:
recipes- I’m a simple person with cooking, I have no desire to spend 4hrs using something I found on Pinterest. I find different rubs and seasonings to use on my protein and grill the meats I’m using.
Does it get boring? We are creatures of habits, you get the same coffee and donut, every morning, same kind of pizza every Friday, order the same drink every happy hour. It’s about creating new healthier habits and finding foods you enjoy so you can have longevity with your results.
supplements- there is no supplement in the world, that will help you get “faster results” if you’re eating isn’t on track. Stop wasting money on them and start investing that money in groceries. If any one of these supplements actually got people the results that they promise, we’d all be supermodels and wouldn’t have an obesity epidemic.
calories- you and I can not eat the same serving sizes unless our goal is to weigh the same and our activity levels are equal. It does not matter if all the choices are more nutrient dense or “healthier choices”, you have to be at a calorie deficit or else you’ll gain weight. Find out how many calories you should be eating, and track for at least a week to make sure you’re on track.
